Racing season 1940

On September 3, 1940, at the Idroscalo in Milan, Achille Castoldi sets the new world speed record for 400-kilo inboard boats with 129.96 km/h. The hull used by Castoldi is a Picchiotti powered by an Alfa Romeo 158, 8 cylinders in line, 1500 displacement.
