VM

It was founded in 1947, immediately after the war, when two local entrepreneurs, Vancini and Martelli, from whom the acronym VM derives, driven by that desire for redemption that characterized the majority of Italians, decided to found a small company in Cento, in the province of Ferrara, dedicated to the construction of diesel engines intended mainly for the agricultural sector. The company acquired fame and importance not only territorially but also nationally when some time after its foundation it built the first Italian diesel engine, whose production soon went beyond national borders.
